Vidya gives birth to a son, Ketan aka Kittu (Ronit Kamra). In 1996, the lives of Talwars are not going great. Kittu, who has enrolled for cricket coaching asks Arjun to buy him the team India jersey. Arjun promises to buy him one but realises he does not have the money. Coach Bali tells Arjun about a charity match and that the Punjab team is looking for a batsman.
