Shanaya Kapoor on having a working birthday amid Student of the Year: After Dark promotions and shoot commitments, “It feels like a nice way to begin another year”

For Shanaya Kapoor, this birthday is set to be more about work than celebrations. The actress is gearing up for a busy day, juggling promotional commitments for her upcoming series Student of the Year: After Dark alongside her shoot schedule.

With the series marking her OTT debut, Shanaya is currently immersed in the world of the new project, which takes the much-loved Student of the Year franchise in a darker direction. Directed by Reema Maya and produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the series sees Shanaya in a double role and is set to premiere on JioHotstar on November 13.

While birthdays are usually reserved for celebrations and time with loved ones, the actress seems happy to have work keeping her occupied this year.

Speaking about having a working birthday, Shanaya said, “I think there is something really special about being busy doing what you love, especially on your birthday. Of course, I would love to spend some time with my family and friends, but I am genuinely excited about everything happening professionally right now. It feels like a nice way to begin another year.”

Looking ahead, Shanaya has an interesting line-up of projects. She will also be seen in Zombie Reddy 2 – NXT LVL, which marks her Pan India cinema debut, and JC, a period comedy directed by Shujaat Saudagar, alongside Abhay Verma. With projects across different genres and languages, the actress is gearing up for an exciting phase in her career.
